Warden advocates for more mental health, addictions and homelessness supports at AMO conference

Oxford County took part in the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Annual Conference last week, a gathering of Ontario’s 444 municipalities that focused on shared goals and how to meet common challenges.
Warden Marcus Ryan had an opportunity to speak to CBC News on advocacy by Ontario’s municipalities to address mental health, addictions and homelessness.

Holiday hours for Civic long weekend

The Oxford County Administration Building, Human Services, Provincial Offences Administration building, and Waste Management Facility will be closed for the Civic holiday on Monday, August 5, reopening on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Please note: Oxford County services for Paramedic Services, Woodingford Lodge, and Public Works continue over the holiday.

Oxford County reminds drivers that Pedestrians have the right of way at crossovers
Oxford County has installed two new pedestrian crossovers in Tillsonburg and Norwich. The new pedestrian crossover in Norwich is at Oxford Road 18 (Main Street) between John Street and Pitcher Street. The County has also installed a new on-street accessible parking space near the Canada Post building at 70 Main Street West in Norwich.
